Comprehensive Classes



The Slingerland Approach Comprehensive Teacher Training Classes a
re accredited through the International Multisensory Structured Language Education Council (IMSLEC) and are the core of Slingerland training.

Class Levels include:

  • Introductory Level
  • Second Level Continuum
  • Third Level Continuum

These classes are offered as a four week summer session or an in-year format. Each includes a practicum with students, demonstrations and observations. This intensive course of study includes instructional techniques in handwriting, written language, decoding, and reading comprehensive. These classes are offered at three levels.

In order to protect class participants and students alike, acceptance to a comprehensive course requires satisfactory completion of a criminal background and sex offender registry check. Forms for the background check will provided upon receipt of a registration form.

Discount pricing for comprehensive and short classes is available to Slingerland Literacy Institute professional, lifetime and organization level members. Discounts will be taken at the checkout page by entering the code provided by the SIL Office. The membership discount cannot be used in connection with any other product coupon or special.
